The staff of Montessori Academy of North Texas is dedicated to creating a sense of family, not only with your child/children in the classroom, but also with the parents. The common thread we all share as educators is our belief in the giftedness of all children and their ability to realize their fullest potential in a child-centered environment in which they are able to explore and make mistakes. We will work to ensure that the needs of each child in our care are met, enabling him/her to develop important habits, attitudes, skills, ideas, and self-confidence. A strong relationship between home and school is essential. Therefore, we provide many opportunities for parents to be involved in the school. We encourage parents to participate in school activities, enjoy lunch on campus with their child/children, volunteer to read in the classroom, be a guest speaker, etc. We also provide valuable resources that assist parents in complementing and incorporating the Montessori method in home activities.

Ashley McCollum Children’s House 2 Teacher
Ashley McCollum
My name is Ashley McCollum, and this is my first year as a teacher at Montessori Academy of North Texas. I recently graduated from GCU with a Master of Arts in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I received a Bachelor’s in general studies with an emphasis in HPER from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I have been in the Education field for over five years or more. I have volunteered in the classroom and have substituted preschool through12th grade levels. I worked as a teaching assistant in the pre-k SPED classroom at Perrin Early Childhood Center last school year. I have also completed my student teaching and substituted while in college. I have taught pre-k, worked with toddlers, and taught elementary school during the summer breaks which really gives me a lot more experience. I believe education is a key to success! I enjoy reading, teaching, and learning new things. I love to sing and enjoy spending time with my family, church family and friends. I have been married for seventeen years and I have a daughter she is a senior in high school this year. She keeps me on my toes lol but has brought so much joy to my life. She keeps me motivated and really inspires me. She is in the cosmetology program at school and wants to go to college to become a hairstylist. I have a new puppy and his name is Oreo and we just love him. He is so sweet and very playful and has been a blessing to my family and I. I am so excited to be your child’s teacher and feel very blessed to be a part of the MANT family. I look forward to knowing everyone and having a fun school year.

Hi I’m Emily! I am loving my job as an Office Administrator here at MANT! It’s been fun to get to know our kids and their families and I can’t wait to watch us grow as a school! A little about me: My husband and I are expecting our first baby in May and we couldn’t be more excited! While we’ve been waiting for this chapter, we have been enjoying life with our five animals. Working with kids in some way has always been a happy place for me. We have so much to learn from these little minds!

My name is Jacqueline. I am 26 years old. I am from a small town, Leonard. I have a 1 year old little boy named Mateo and a wonderful husband. I was previously an RDA and then a stay at home mom. I was looking for part time job to get out of the house and I found this Montessori school and I fell in love with it so much I became full time. I love shopping and watching movies.
