Ms. Angela earned her B.A. degree in Business Administration from Ouachita Baptist University in 1992 and her Masters in Teaching from Austin College in 1998. She has extensive experience in business management and human resources. She holds her Texas teaching certificate and taught accounting and computer applications for several years at SHS.In 2004, inspired by her own children's Montessori experience, she founded Montessori Academy of North Texas. Ms. Angela holds NAMC Montessori Certifications at the Infant/Toddler, Primary, and Elementary levels. She attended the National AMS Conference in Houston in 2005, California in 2008, Chicago 2011, and Dallas in 2014. She is a GLOBE certified teacher and was selected to participate in the 2011-2012 Summer Institute and to be a presenter at the 17th Annual GLOBE Partner Meeting in Washington D.C. in August 2013. She was also chosen as a presenter at the International Montessori Council annual conference in the fall of 2013. She speaks Portuguese. She serves on the Advisory Committee for the Austin Teacher Program at Austin College, is a member on the GIFT (Gunter ISD Foundation Trust) board member, serves on the Grayson College Child Development Advisory Board, and the New Worship Service Task Force Chair at FUMC, Sherman.
